Tempests’ Temptation
During the last past monsoon
I remember telling the indoor Cat
(who I let outside for 2 to 3 hrs per day)
“ I’ll let You out when I get home;
this morning, I must write
a poem. “
I love writing during rain &
prefer the clap of thunder nearby
as opposed to the bolts of light.
I thought about getting struck
but shrugged it off as a tiny ado.
Why am I tempted to write
during wet williwaws?
I think, maybe it tempers
my emotions with balance
towards evening the scale
with Mother Nature.
I will ever be embrangled
each time it rains ----
Always a bonus if there’s
a gale, a clap and a bolt of light.
