Red Sun Fountains

a golden sunrise in the morning
we did not expect
streaming starlight at the dawning
with celestial effect

mesmerizing and surprising
rays of light expand
atmospheric beauty ties in
to where we stand

by the ocean near the mountains
here on Planet B
from the twilight red Sun fountains
fall on you and me-

an onshore breeze, cooling, pleases
while beginning to explore
a valley lush which nearby teases
'there is something more'-

beneath the trees with rustling leaves
following a stream
whose sunlit dappled water weaves
through and in between

water meadows with the yellows
of flowers as in spring
feeling cooler, something mellows,
in the paradise we're in-

in the morning, new day dawning
4 light years from the Earth
new sensations without warning
feel like a new birth

by the ocean near the mountains
here on Planet B
where from twilight red Sun fountains
fall on you and me...
