My Next Thirty Quid...

What was my inspiration the text enquires of me? Well as you probably are aware, as writers, we write what we know, and unfortunately what I knew at the time I wrote this piece, was 3 decades of addiction to class A drugs and plying my trade at the city's Red light district, no kinda life for a young woman, which I very much was when I set out along the path we call our life. So when I dragged myself up and out of the nightmare existence i I had crafted myself, I decided it was time to exploit my lyrical talent and the gift that was bestowed on me by our Lord and use my words to try and reach others who like myself who carried around the proverbial monkey on their back.and those just starting out down the road, even if I get through to just one person it'll be worth it.
