Image for the poem Deadweight.

Deadweight.

Deadweight head and heart
deadweight,
won't you part the pages
pave these phases
on my way
to the graves.

Deadweight dance and jigg
deadweight,
found the hole I dig
throw it all away
on my way
to my grave.

Red, white, and yellow flowers
meant to alliviate
the coward
meant to deviate
the truth,
whiten every rotten tooth.

Deadweight life and death
deadweight,
occupy my breath
claim my days
on my way
to the god damn grave.

Just like the stars staring, death.
