Us
We met on a normal day,
When our seats were changed.
You turned on some music, I
Hummed along, and for a while
That stayed the same.
We grew close instantly,
My other half I never knew I needed.
I'm more grateful for you every day,
No one else ever competed.
Soon, you took your chance,
And I said no.
We stayed good friends,
No romance involved though.
Later, with our hands intertwined,
I finally said yes.
You ran and jumped,
I laughed and had no regrets.
Now nine months later, here we are.
The story of us, we've made it this far.
Three more months until a year,
And I'm glad you're still here.
When our seats were changed.
You turned on some music, I
Hummed along, and for a while
That stayed the same.
We grew close instantly,
My other half I never knew I needed.
I'm more grateful for you every day,
