Heartsick
Do you ever get this ache in your
Chest, this bubble that’s almost
Compressed?
And there’s only so much you can do
To drive it away, but eventually the bubble
Settles on your chest and it only goes away
When you’re around him?
Then all of a sudden, you see someone who makes it
So much worse and you’ve never actually talked to that
Person, but it still makes it worse.
I get heartsick a lot.
And I know I shouldn’t, but sometimes I can’t
Help it.
My brain overthinks, my heart overworks,
I’m...

All Of It
I’m so grateful for you, and what I
Have with you,
But I want all of it.
I want all of your thoughts, all of your time;
All of your love, even though I’m not worth a dime.
I want a future with you, I want a home.
I want you and me, same couch and TV,
Cuddling, content, and carefree.
I want us together, ups and downs.
I want to hold on tight, no matter how many breakdowns.
I want to love you forever, no matter what.
I don’t want to see you walk out of my life.
I want all of it, I want you...
Have with you,

I want all of your thoughts, all of your time;

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

not promised tomorrow
there are 365 days in a year, correct?
That’s 52 weeks, 8,760 hours.
we’re not guaranteed all
of those days, weeks, hours.
I’m not promised tomorrow any more
than I’m promised next year.
I’m not promised the next second any more
than I’m promised next week.
even though I’m not promised tomorrow,
I’m ok with that. I’ve learned to be ok with that.
because even though I’m not promised tomorrow,
I would be okay with the life I’ve lived, and that would be ok.
don’t take time for granted.
...

You Remind Me Of
You remind me of:
hot chocolate with marshmallows,
Sunsets,
Angel food cake,
Marvel movies,
Sour Patch Kids,
Summer,
Sunny rains,
Roses,
Dr. Pepper,
Book stores,
Piano music,
Pizza,
And spring.
But most of all, you remind me of the good that’s left in the world, and how lucky I am to have a piece of it. I love you so much, more than words can describe.

Don't Think About It
I tell myself not to think about it;
Don’t think about it, but here I am,
My brain drifting back to the once upon a times
And What Ifs, red hot jealousy bubbling like lava.
I tell myself not to be jealous;
Don’t be jealous, but here I am,
Stuck inside the prison of overthinking,
And the key is with you, but you don’t
Even realize it.
Don’t think about it, don’t be jealous, just breathe,
That was before, it’s not now, stay focused on right now.
Don’t. Think. About. It.
Don’t think about it, but here I am,

When I'm Happiest
When I’m happiest, I’m a little wild;
I snort when I laugh, I smile really wide.
When I’m happiest, I can’t stop dancing.
There’s a beat in my head, a rhythm to swing.
When I’m happiest, I feel free.
Like the sun in the sky, the birds singing.
When I’m happiest I feel loved;
I shout that to the moon and stars above.
When I’m happiest I think of you;
I know that no matter what I say and I do;
No matter how embarrassing something may be,
I can still run to you, my everything.

Blushing
Ok by no means should you be able to make
Me blush like you do.
I will be fine one second, and then a blushing,
Stuttering mess the next; all because of you.
I don’t hate it, I’m just stating my case here.
You are way too good at it.
At this point I could probably die from the
Amount of blood that rushes to my cheeks.
And I thought as time went on, I would get
Used to it, right?
Wrong.
I guess this is what they mean when they say
Love never grows old, huh?

You know, I think I figured out why I
Hate you so much: you make me feel
Irrelevant.
I had a feeling, you know.
I was ok when summer ended,
But by Thanksgiving break, you liked
Them more than you would ever like me.
I know it wasn’t intended to hurt me, (or maybe it was),
But do you remember that Snapchat from November?
Every other answer had a reason on why you picked the
Other option, but mine. You chose Emily over me.
That’s when I knew. At the time I was ok with it.
When I was added to the group...
