Lost
I knew you were gone
Before we ever said goodbye
My heart had been lost
And thought of you home
But my eyes had been shut
From all the warning signs
I knew you were gone
But I thought we were lost
Distance brings clarity
Time heals the deepest wounds
I looked to you
For what she never could
But children can’t fix
What parents don’t give
I was searching for love
But my direction was lost
I moved to close to you
I exposed too much of me
You said it was suffocating
Sparks need air to ignite
Im only as clingy
As my breaking heart demands
I was working to fix this
But your feelings were lost
I picking up the pieces
Regaining my sanity
Slowly I gave you
All I thought I had of me
But I’ll never love another
If my sense of self is lost
Im working to fix me
Im hoping you see it
But if you’re far gone
I hope that she’s worth it
Someday I’ll find me
Someday’s not lost
Before we ever said goodbye
My heart had been lost
And thought of you home
But my eyes had been shut
From all the warning signs
I knew you were gone
But I thought we were lost
Distance brings clarity
Time heals the deepest wounds
I looked to you
For what she never could
But children can’t fix
What parents don’t give
I was searching for love
But my direction was lost
I moved to close to you
I exposed too much of me
You said it was suffocating
Sparks need air to ignite
Im only as clingy
As my breaking heart demands
I was working to fix this
But your feelings were lost
I picking up the pieces
Regaining my sanity
Slowly I gave you
All I thought I had of me
But I’ll never love another
If my sense of self is lost
Im working to fix me
Im hoping you see it
But if you’re far gone
I hope that she’s worth it
Someday I’ll find me
Someday’s not lost
