A Mental Incantation
For once I am going to think the sky is my limit
There is nothing below my feet but dusk
Waiting for the calling of Dawn
In my pain, I can only will thy self to remain to be better
To shelter the unseen scars
Eyes will never come to see
Hold back the river of tears
Others will never know exist as the streams fall in silence
Can this body of life
Pull myself up
When the soul feels broken
My shattered illusions just too heavy to continue to carry around its burdens
Will I one day awaken from the internal battling madness
And continue to allow the weight of gravity to pull my mind down
In my reflection of my mirror’s pain
I am the only one stand to remain
When I turn away
I must still face the progression of the world
Be the voice of reasoning found in the core of my heart
Just a spark shall give my tomorrow hope
I will uprise against the mighty wind
With my eyes I am the open portal to my own dreams
In my destination I will no longer refuse to wallow in the murky abyss of my chaos
This life was ordained to be MY treasure map
Knowing the hidden fortunes of my being is always within me
As I search the rite of passage unto myself
And as I come to the end of my rainbow
I know the universal sun will still always shine
On the dark clouds from which I have come forth
