Don't wake me up
"How bad is it that I curse everytime I awake from my slumber?
For I know as soon as my eyes are pried open
your touch is nothing but a mere memory,
plea from my heart to my brain begging for just another moment with you,
rather it be a second of a figment of imagination or a min of repeated history
I beg to the father of creation for a respite from reality.
For I know once I'm awoke
you'll fade away to the heavens where you belong because we no longer exist.
How selfish is my wants for you.
Even if possible I wouldn't ask the genie from that dusty lamp for your love back,
I dont deserve it
I dont deserve you.
I'm just the thief from a ravished land looking at the top of the castle from afar hoping for a peek of the queen.
As I look through the bars of my cell in anticipation for the sun to cave in to the moons demand of freedom,
I smile in glee because once my eyes close and my body rest on this cold cot I'll enter heaven with you.
I'll be climbing clouds trying to pick you a star Raging through the jungles trying to pick you the perfect flower,
or searching through the heavens to find the perfect angel to sing you your favorite song.
I'm incarcerated in reality but asleep I'm only a prisoner to you. Good night"
