Daisy Queen

Daisy Queen

Walking through the Daisy covered field, I've got you by the hand, the Sun shining brightly and no body is around

We go over to the furthest spot, you lay a blanket on the ground, I sit looking at you as you start to dance around,

In a moment I've made a Daisy chain, I crown you my Daisy Queen, looking up at you smiling, you're the happiest I've ever seen

The Sun shining through your cotton dress, your shape in silhouette looks devine, I'm so proud and I'm honoured to tell the world you're mine

Slowly you unzip your dress, you're now naked except your Daisy crown, I'm mesmerized by your dancing, you jump up and then crouch down

Your movements are hypnotic, you have me in a trance, I can't take my eyes of you, I love to watch you dance

Like a Ballerina you move with so much style and grace, I can see all the joy it brings, it's written plainly on your face

We made love on the blanket, so sad it was another dream, so I honour it in poetry, for you my Daisy Queen
