I've loved and still I've failed
a voice still haunts me
from beyond this veil
it whispers questions
that doubt my clarity
Oh, my intentions
were they ever true?
You don't doubt my soul
not my will or strength
you forever seek
to still my woes
while I keep building walls
you keep tearing down
and still want nothing more
than to see my face;
the one beneath a mask
I keep tied in place
But I'm not perfect
and a thousand fractures
webbed themselves
into the clay
and my fear of its Shatter
strives to keep you away
And still you persist,
Love...
Why?
a voice still haunts me
from beyond this veil
it whispers questions
that doubt my clarity
Oh, my intentions
were they ever true?
You don't doubt my soul
not my will or strength
you forever seek
to still my woes
while I keep building walls
you keep tearing down
and still want nothing more
than to see my face;
the one beneath a mask
I keep tied in place
But I'm not perfect
and a thousand fractures
webbed themselves
into the clay
and my fear of its Shatter
strives to keep you away
And still you persist,
Love...
