Saw it coming
I knew
You would
hurt me
I just hoped
it wouldn't be
in this life.
I saw
It coming
But
My heart
Would not
Let go and
Now
My spirit
Pays the price.
They said
'trust but don't assume'
Guess I missed that part.
Your energy Got colder
Till there was nothing
for you to feel,
I would say
'i wish you the best' but
I don't know if that's true.
I'm not hurting
cause you choose to leave,
I'm hurting cause you choose
To leave me with questions
That may never be answered😔.
I prayed for love
You prepared for hate
I prayed for peace
You prepared for war
With verbal instruments
To cause pain to
My heart and break
My spirit😥
