Mindset
My mind is like a sunset
A buildup of thoughts, scattered
Like stratus on the horizon
Dark and gloom for morning and noon
Until dusk spikes my mood
And paints the corners of my imagination
In plum, magenta, and topaz ray
So beautiful, it can stop traffic
But only for a moment
Such beauty is lost, a painful cost
For being raw and true
And suddenly, my hues
Have reverted, to polluted gray.
A buildup of thoughts, scattered
Like stratus on the horizon
Dark and gloom for morning and noon
Until dusk spikes my mood
And paints the corners of my imagination
In plum, magenta, and topaz ray
So beautiful, it can stop traffic
But only for a moment
Such beauty is lost, a painful cost
For being raw and true
And suddenly, my hues
Have reverted, to polluted gray.
