When Death Smiled

Wired for fear
In a wombed

Doom -

Flashing lights
Incited by

Sights -

Of scenes
In chaos

Seen -

Of violence
Followed by

Disturbing silence -

Radiating from
Centers of

Epicenters -

Into existential
Structures

Manifested as
Sadness/Madness

&

Futures
Of
Fight for flight

To one day walk
A walk

Of a god of sod speak
Having peeked

Beyond the abyss rendered peak
Of sage seek in sage

Speak -

As death smiled
Upon the

Exile

Of the sainted satyr
So called sinner

Innovator

Of an American prayer
To

Make all enemies ridiculous
Smiling at death

In

Tenebrous inkiness.

Author's Note
Inspired by the prompt "swagger and posture of a monster".

Recently I was talking to someone
about how I was wired for "The Fear" from the womb.

I have a lot of thoughts about
what it means to be a monster, this is
a topic I have long had a fascination with.

but I think one aspect is the overcoming of The Fear.

*. *.  *

I look at you.

We have spilled blood and ink together.

I want victory for you.  Against all the forces.

To dwell the world like a monster...

Real righteous.
