The Prestige

The new poetry
Is composed in emoji

Speak,

Initiating a shift
Upon an oscillation

Continuum

From a valley to a
Peak

Giving a peek into
The mind

As

Revolver – However
Alongside

Every furor
In popular

Culture

Is

A counterculture
Counter

To

That culture

&

This culture
Is
Cultivated

&

Cultured

Via a language of thought form

Structured
In
Forms of

Thought.

Was thinking of "prestige languages".

...  And how languages continuously evolve,
English being a very interesting example,
resulting from diasporas of diversified peoples.

During that time...

Latin, the language of the priest class (following the fall of The Roman Empire),
was considered the prestige language,
which was the tongue associated with learning and religion.

I was just thinking about the modern age...

Which some regard as practically illiterate.

I do not agree with this assertion.

In the book "Everyday is a Poem", Jacqueline Suskin
very cleverly observes that emojis can be poetic.

And I agree with this.

For example, in the time when Old English
was evolving into modern English, and Latin was the
language of the elites, English was the language of commerce...

And...

Consider the rise of the merchant class into the new Elites...

So...

People say the "emoji speakers" will never achieve much...

Oh...

They will certainly inherit the largest transfer of
wealth in human history.

And I believe, just like the merchant class,
will rise to a place of "newly minted Elites"...

I am speaking rather figuratively, as my
conception of Elite is far different than most.

but yes...  Not to say "emoji" will be an elite language,
although...  who can really say.

either way, perhaps will be undoubtedly
a variation or at least an extension of these things.

or maybe is already this...

I do "emoji speak" because when in Rome, right.

But even family members and other surprised me by doing thus.

But what I think also,
is that like with hieroglyphics...

The mind was more inclined to think in
expansive, outside the box manners.

A binary based language has limitations
that a symbol based language perhaps does not.

I think this symbol based language
is conducive to giving rise to a more thought based language

Which in turn gives rise to new forms of art,
in every medium.

It's like...

I was watching this documentary on the Deftones
and how they evolved in their art form...

On the album "Diamond eyes" they turned
an image based lyrical style V story baed, which Chino Moreno
said was influenced by The Cure and a few other sources...

I have always sought to evolve...

Always.

And there are many considerations in this regard.

and inspiration comes from...  Everywhere.
