Pastor pats her
She married for security
Loved it for a while.
A nice church-going couple
She liked what he had to offer
But never liked him on her.
Sought advice, went to the pastor
They were kindred souls
He welcomed her, let her in
She developed a plan,
Divorce never an option.
She fell for him, let him in.
Divorce, again, not an option.
One night he was invited over
For a lovely dinner
Also brought the gun
That was what she'd asked him to bring.
He understood her perfectly
They were indeed of the same mind.
Divorce never being an option
That left only one thing to do.
It would later be impossible
To say who did the shooting,
The husband dead
The gun lost in the wild
And both accusing each other
Of having fired away.
Loved it for a while.
A nice church-going couple
She liked what he had to offer
But never liked him on her.
Sought advice, went to the pastor
They were kindred souls
He welcomed her, let her in
She developed a plan,
Divorce never an option.
She fell for him, let him in.
Divorce, again, not an option.
One night he was invited over
For a lovely dinner

He understood her perfectly

Divorce never being an option
That left only one thing to do.

To say who did the shooting,
The husband dead
The gun lost in the wild
And both accusing each other
Of having fired away.
