Raven Skies
I
Brazen eyes into pyres of absence
Set about in stones -
Colonized by distant microbes
Speaking in tongues
Like sun spots into setting suns
Elliptical in the eye.
II
Each thought of stone
Explored in impeccable diligence
Unfurled into a meditation
Examined in revolving components
Seeking the unseen.
III
A traveling wing brings
A trail of icicles
Unraveling in sculptured hyperextensions of things
At my window sill
Speaking from the zero stillness of darkness:
O solitary soul
Inspecting the invisible
Soul a crucible
For the ineffable indivisible
Look into my eye
What do you see?
IV
Into drifts of dark raven skies, I replied:
V
I see…
Me.
