A Mother's Tears
"A Mother's Tears"
I am that five-year-old girl, who was taken to the state of Madhya Pradesh/
Where I was repeatedly raped by a monster, before suffering cardiac arrest
I had suffered a brain injury, from the two who tried to smother my cries/
I then slipped into a coma, from April 20th, until shortly before I had died
I had been raped by a friend of my parents, & dumped at a farm by my home/
My parents were poor construction workers, whilst both at work, I was alone
The two men were then both arrested, in connection with this brutal attack/
As of yet, still no prosecution for a crime, they normally sweep under the mat
I had suffered unimaginable torture, at the hands of an evil man's sexual desires/
So young & so precious, I was somebodies daughter, now I'm just tears in their eyes
"The court should give them the strictest punishment", I can hear my mother cry/
"So the world can see how criminals are punished, these men should be burnt alive"
Wiping tears with the corner of her sari, a million sorry's couldn't heal her pain/
Knowing her daughter had been taken & forsaken for such a sick & twisted game
Not once that day, did it ever cross my mind, that I was being lured to that farm/
So please, I ask you pray, for a stolen life, who can no longer lie in mother's arms.
