Warmth For the Lifeless Soul
A lifeless soul lays quiet and untouched in her body that was once full of happiness and life, but now all that exists is guilt, pain, and the nightmares.
Days go by and all she can do as her soul slips into darkness is lay in a bed silent and unmoving.
One night as she lay in bed with the last of her warmth slowly fading away she feels a warm touch on her chest right above her heart.
She wakes wondering what this oddly familiar feeling is. She slowly opens her eyes and what she sees is a soul, like hers, with a broken heart. A life cursed by the world and those he once loved.
The lifeless girl who once lay in her bed is drawn to this lonesome soul.
She stands as if for the first time in front of the boy. Looking up into his bright blue eyes that tell her so much without uttering a sound.
Those eyes that show so much love waiting to be let out. But also buried deep behind those beautiful blue eyes is a cry for help, for someone to love him in return, for some one to mend his broken heart.
Still looking into his emotionless eyes she lifts her cold hand and places it on his cheek. Seconds pass until slowly he lifts his hand and places it on hers.
The warmth of that one touch fills her once lifeless soul with warmth once more.
Each day passes and their love for each other grows. Their once lost souls regain strength at each moment they spend in each others loving embrace.
At the end of it all maybe just maybe their souls will become one and spread their wings wide to rise on the wind and disappear into the night sky.

WOW. All of what you wrote, I can feel. But there is not a single word in my mind that can describe how beautiful and emotional this is

Thank you. This is something that a girlfriend and wrote to one another. She has since passed away and yet the feelings we expressed still carry on even after she has left this world.
