Men Aren’t All the Same

I’m obsessed with your curves
call me the luckiest man on earth
but that isn’t why I love you
it’s when you lay your head on my chest
late night while we’re in bed
I promise, cross my heart & hope to die
I’ll never leave your side

so let them say
whatever they want to say
I say it isn’t their business anyway
tell your mom, tell all your friends
men aren’t all the same

babe, just take my hand
we’ll drive across this mystic land
leaving behind only a note
saying don’t bother finding us
we can hit up every motel room
move your tongue across my tattoos
go ahead and taste the sweat
because we are free to be
whatever we want to be

so let them say
whatever they want to say
I say it isn’t their business anyway
I’ll tell my dad, tell all my friends
women aren’t all the same

and when the years pass
I’ll still drown in your loving eyes
we can look up at the stars
pick a place for the both of us

I still believe in being a gentleman
holding the door open
helping out with chores
give you gifts just because
I’ll do it without a single thought
and any jealous fucker can leave
I’m only here for you, anyway
