Cold Hands but Warm Heart
Remembrance
Is what I seek
For the man with
Cold hands but warm heart
I love you
No matter what
We ever argued about
My father
Will always be remembered
For
Never Give Up
Placed on
Every vehicle he drove
Instilled in his head
Till….
He took his last breath
10:10
Tuesday morning
December 21st
Actually
Before then
But one of many secrets
He can take with him
Because
I only seek
Photographs
Videos of him
I placed on my neck
A gold chain
My dad worn
FOREVER
Till his body turned cold
Now he’s
Always with me
Every picture
Video of him
I see his chain
It’s on me now
WE
He’s still alive
Within me
And when
His body is cremated
And his soul
Mixes with
The White River
And flows to
The Wabash
Heading South to
The Ohio river
Westward bound
To
The Mississippi River
Traveling down South
To
The Gulf of Mexico
Eventually
To
One of the oceans
My dad
Will be traveling on
His soul
That is
And I carry
His spirit
Upon my shoulders
Till the day
My body turns cold
I miss him
No doubt
My mom
I have to stay strong
Only us
Is here now
No longer she has to care
For our
Ailing Star
He was everything
To us
He taught
And shown us
How to live
When our umbilical cord
Was cut
No more nurturing
Or advice from him
We got to walk away
With our heads held high
Because my dad
Stood on that principle
Continue to live
Work hard
Save
Do the right thing
Never Give Up
To survive
He said to us
Two days before
His body temp
Lost Fahrenheit
I love you dad
Is what I seek
