When Clouds Fall
how does it feel
to be rained on?
it’s heavy and slow..
one day, i’ll manage
to take up my umbrella
and make rainbows
they tell me to “dance in the rain”
but who can move
under the weather?
sometimes, i watch them
stormy and dark
how they ache
it hurts to carry that weight..
even they break in thunderous cries
drops of tears, flood from the skies
they must release, to lighten the load
before they explode
will it stop?
i can’t take this at all..
will they drop?
or must i learn
how to make clouds fall?
to be rained on?

Dear TTF,
I very much felt the depth of sadness and despair in this poem. I know when I’m sad every thing feels so heavy and burdensome.

but who can move
under the weather?” Such a great way to describe the weight of depression. Touching piece. H🌷

People still think telling people to simply smile and be happy makes one less depressed.. it’s not that simple. Thank you for the support and comment :)
