Humility
It seems to me
That some people do not understand
The word or the meaning of the word
Humility.
True, for many it has to do with losers.
Indeed, for hard-core Capitalists ą-la-Trump
It has no meaning, it does not belong in their World
In their Society.
No different elsewhere. Think of Dubai
Or the UAE as a whole where idolatry
In front of the Golden Cow rules.
Humility is a foreign word.
I remember Angela Merkel
Speaking of humility in her last presentation.
I suppose (I do not know) that for some religions
It is also irrelevant.
True also for the likes of the GOP SCOTUS.
Their concept of Morality rules.
Their Morality.
No compassion. Abortions for all.
Never mind incest or rape.
No concept of understanding.
No humility.
The Rule of Their Law.
It is mind-boggling to me
It is like all those Flat-Earthers
Who remain blind in front of so much evidence.
Hey: they also have their mind-boggling
And very scientific explanations.
Blind or simply no desire to see.
Who knows, there may even be novels
Where such a theme you do not encounter.
But I am still amazed.
Humanity

I'm a bit surprised no one has commented on this yet. I do have to say that the world does seem ass backwards right now. Common sense has been thrown out the window.
I just watched a film called "Don't Look Up" about the end of the world. Folks will blatantly deny the facts even as a comet is barreling down on earth until it's too late. It was insane but it was an accurate depiction (especially for those of us here in the U.S.)
Humility is a character trait that is difficult to achieve for some. But in today's society, ego and greed are even deadlier virus.

We live in difficult times (dixit Dickens?). SOME people open their heart (and pocketbook) at Christmas time maybe to give themselves a good conscience and look the other way the rest of the year. Their comfort of course. Regards, Robert.
