Different stages of maturity

I’ve seen so much of you & used to like what I saw cause it came with respect    
   
I’ve tried to show you the important parts of me that would help us grow & cultivate    
   
Each time you only wanted to know the things that made you laugh & feel good    
   
Your were beautiful to the world they  admired it, but ugly to the person who stood by you    
   
I understood we weren’t on the same level but I was willing to help build anyway    
   
The lack of care shown I became a product of that & didn’t recognize the person I’d become    
   
My patience is on a different level, but you no longer want to laugh
