Within the context of this poem is a very consistent meter. Reading this your phrasing rolls off the tongue. Subject wise it’s difficult to comment on because escaping from hurt and pain feels impossible most days and you capture that trapped feeling very succinctly. Great write. H🌷

Don't want to be sugary, but you can escape in a novel, you can esacpe in your dreams. No easy solution.
