Horror Story
they say pull yourself up by the bootstraps
all while whipping your back
can't say a thing
because then you'll feel bad
made to believe you did something wrong
even when you know you're in the right
they'll threaten
they'll accuse
a modern day story of David and Goliath
you'll start to lose hope
start thinking maybe it's you
because you have bills
and people to feed
trying to walk the line of perfection
and frustration
as if you ever had a choice
like what you do will ever be enough
but it isn't
and it never will be
because they won't ever care
for your health
or your wife
or your kids
they'll use them too
as collateral
to keep their business safe
to put you in your place
abusive as fuck until you fucking die
then they'll forget everything
as if you never existed
your name
your wife
your kids
as if you were nothing more
than a piece of shit
moving on to the next poor soul
that they can suck the life out of

I understand this all too well...I was thinking on bootstraps just the other day and arguing within about people making that careless statement. Most dont know what it takes when they have never even tried your shoes on. Lol Heres to a higher protection who sees all. 🙌💪

Horror story indeed. It's a crazy thing to experience first hand.. like actually see it. We know it exists but when it happens in the least likely place or person.. whoa..

Aw a hardhitting story of how harsh torturous life inflicted on people by those in power, horrible how the system can punish and torment! You express powerfully in metaphor as well! Kudos!
