Figuring It Out
36-26 …
Now what’s the other number?
Another 36
In honour of symmetry
Something more or less
In honour of certain predilections
Thin broadening to voluptuous
In honour of all that love
A little lust perhaps
My spoon glistening
With give & take
My psychosis
Half a ward deep
Half a word deep
He saves a little
Of his protestant thrift
Edging it out for tomorrow
And all songs sing toward the sea
I’d like to take you home with me
I’d like to peek behind your curtain
Full of love gone too fast
Full of tragic desire
The cat knows more than she’s letting on
She’s a spy I’m sure
Always watching
I feed her well
Offer some attention
Parlay a tribute or two
Ah, French is it?
Now what’s the other number?
