Them or I
I know who suffers
not one or the other
We suffer on both sides
I know those who uttered words that do not comfort have taken peoples lives
Proper treatment and medication
Proper support and psych’s
Cannot compare to proper care and understanding of an ill mind

It’s as simple as cause and effect.

THE CAUSE
Trauma, abuse, grief loss and neglect
THE EFFECT
Frustration at the things heard and said
The end is painful
The end is desperate
The end is the only thing we have left

There’s the jump, there’s the gun
A foot on a pedal, a rope above a chair
There’s a razor blade, a gas leak
An empty pill bottle on the bench

Our inability to listen, understand and accept
Is directly contributing to death

Save your breath
Just listen right and you’ll save lives
