Underneath

There is this girl,  
well she is me
so angry at the world
cause they don't see
There is more than  
What's right in front of you
 
She likes to laugh
Of course she does
Never showed her friends
Who she really was
It's all just shallow
God, if they only knew
 
But with you I dive deeper  
Finally found what's underneath
and oh my god it's beautiful
 
A coral reef with a million fishes
All those colors dreams and wishes
Water so clear now I can see through
And all of this is because of you
Forget the bodem, we're above
We're like gods who fell in love
Now we can look at all these mortals
Because with you I found my coral
 
Assignments, tasks,  
Things we have to do
But those doesn't do it
For me and you
It begs the question
Will we ever be free?
 
All towards a future
That will never come
So hopeless to think

How can any of it
make me happy?
