ALIVE BUT EMPTY
REALITY
It's about the same,
hour after hour,
day after day,
the emptiness of
my routine world.
I leave my house empty,
I walk the empty streets
and arrive at my empty office.
My work produces empty
and redundant yes answers.
At lunchtime I sit in
the cafe filled with empty people
stuffing empty calories.
As I walk home I see
a hearse with a body
with an empty future.
At night I gaze at the heavens but
only see the empty space.
BUT
above all I am alive
but EMPTY without
YOU in my life, and if you
were all the other emptinesses
would disappear.
PLEASE
come back and meet
me at the KISSING PLACE
