Here I Am
I walked alone
Down the middle of the street
Cobblestone
Underneath my feet
And dozens of strangers
All stood and stared
There were no dangers
Not that anybody cared
I was just a simple man
Doing a simple thing
Didn't have a plan
Didn't bring a ring
And here I am
Kneeling at your feet
...
Here I am
You make me feel complete
We walk alone
Just you and I
Our path is shown
Together till we die
And crowds of strangers
Looking for love too
Ignoring the dangers
Looking for a love that's true
They were all just simple men
Doing simple things
Looking for true love and then
Hoping for the joy it brings
And here they are
Praying on one knee
...
Here we are
You make us feel complete
Down the middle of the street
Cobblestone
Underneath my feet
And dozens of strangers
All stood and stared
There were no dangers
Not that anybody cared
I was just a simple man
Doing a simple thing
Didn't have a plan
Didn't bring a ring
And here I am
Kneeling at your feet
...
Here I am
You make me feel complete
We walk alone
Just you and I
Our path is shown
Together till we die
And crowds of strangers
Looking for love too
Ignoring the dangers
Looking for a love that's true
They were all just simple men
Doing simple things
Looking for true love and then
Hoping for the joy it brings
And here they are
Praying on one knee
...
Here we are
You make us feel complete
