Romeo and Cinderella
Sweet Romeo, tonight is our night,
We'll dance until Midnight.
I am your darling Juliet,
Who broke free tonight of her Marionette.
I'll play ignorance,
Like Cinderella feigned innocence.
"Romeo, I really must go,
I really can't stay, no!"
The words slip out, sliver by sliver,
As your Juliet runs off and leaves a glass slipper.
But the ball must end soon,
As I flee from your arms under the moon.
I am your Cinderella, Romeo,
Get caught in the trap I've sewn!
We'll dance until Midnight.
I am your darling Juliet,
Who broke free tonight of her Marionette.
I'll play ignorance,
Like Cinderella feigned innocence.
"Romeo, I really must go,
I really can't stay, no!"
The words slip out, sliver by sliver,
As your Juliet runs off and leaves a glass slipper.
But the ball must end soon,
As I flee from your arms under the moon.
I am your Cinderella, Romeo,
Get caught in the trap I've sewn!
