Death of A Crane

toppling towers
fall into rough seas
speak dying crane

tides rolling in
as crab scuttles pass
a diving beak

crash of waves
washing up mermaids
sing sweet melodies

tiptoe on panes of glass
waft rats they scurry
into fishing nets

dying crane
finds a herringbone
to snack upon at dawn

as the lotus blossom
drifts down the stream
of memory

Author's Note
This is called a chained haiku/ brevity a series of haikus that speak to the same spiritual acumen, and resonate with the same subject in nature...I do love the title as well Death Of A Crane
