Sacrifice

You've stolen the sparkle from my eye.
Taken the fluttering from my heart.
You've rendered my love so useless.
And tore my whole world
apart.

But now I've gotten a new
 girl.
An another new friend with a
 plan.
She's whiskey in a bottle,
He's sleeping pills in my
hand.

So heres a drink to you girl,
With some pills from my
Friend.
I loved you from the very start,
And ill love you till the end.

And yet another drink to you,
With more pills from my hand.
The gift that you both wanted,
Is more than I can stand.

I hope you'll both live happily,
With this sacrifice I have made.
It's all that I have to give you,
A terrible price I've paid.

Don't you misunderstand me,
Things are better off this way.
Memories of me will fade out,
And you'll forget about me one day.

So here's another drink to you,
With more pills from my friend.
I have loved you from the start,
And I've proven it in the end.
