Nobody listens to the cry of a dying man
Until he's gone
I remain a crying man
From dusk till dawn
Yesterday was hard
Today's even harder
Its hard to stay positive
When hope's moving farther

Takes me back to a very dark place. Several days of drinking in a row, rock bottom, alone, looking over the edge of the abyss, if it weren't for Kita and Mishka (my two dogs who huddled beside me and got me thru it) I wouldn't be here now (no exaggeration). As I look back, like your poem just made me do, I tear up ... but I think I needed to feel that to be complete. Does that make any sense? Thanks.

Sure it does Lecolonel,I came to realize at one point that my lamentation was the product of the loneliness I felt at that point of my life. All I needed was an assuring voice,to remind me that I was going thru a passing phase and no need to get crazed. Thanks a lot for your contribution.
