Tales of the Temple
Sitting in the temple a question was asked.
"Can God be found
In these multimillion dollar
Temples of the world?"
And -
The answer is yes -
For there is nowhere God is not.
However -
He will more likely be found within the heart
Of the poor humble pheasant
Living just outside
Of the dome of the temple.
It's Interesting -
We build magnificent temples, cathedrals, and mosques -
Declare them holy sites and God's home -
Never thinking -
That the real temples of God (mans body)
Did all of the designing and construction.
Alas -
So little do we value
The true temples of the Lord.
******
In the midst of the temple of man
Sits the omnipresent soul.
This bright nucleus of light
Was destined to be
Lord of this region -
However -
In our present condition
It lies quivering
In the shadow of the mind.
*****
Dawn strikes the spires of the temple
Then sweeps across the land
Radiating golden streams
Across the desert sand.
******
In the temple I behold you
When attention is drawn
To the foxhole of the forehead
In the quiet of dawn.
******
The temple top the mountain
Looks at a billion star lit sky
From the inner vault of heaven
The mind cannot deny.
******
It's nighttime in the temple
Meditate the inner sky
Peep through the vault of heaven
Find your Masters eye.
******
Swiftly flows the river
On its course to ever after -
Then a voice from the temple spoke,
"Time flows even faster."
******
Inside the temple's a vault
With a trillion stars in place
Just like the sky in heaven
That is viewed from outer space.
******
What in the temple holds
Trillion celled me in place
From flowing out in time
Into the heavenly space?
******
A voice from the temple said,
"Beware the mind that spins the lie -
Soul has no wings
Cannot fly"
******
In the temple upper room
A space of eternal spring
Lives the King in silent wonder
Where the bells of Heaven ring.
******
Within the temple chimes a bell
The gong resounds loud and clear
For the souls that hear these echoes
Enlightenment is near.
******
Inside the temple
Only God remains
When the I of you vanishes,
Ego is slain.
