My biggest affliction
I want to be that girl so bad
The one in the books
The one with the perfect mom and dad
The one with the perfect looks
The one who struggles a bit
But finds true love
A guy who is the perfect fit
Everything she ever dreamed of
It sucks being a romantic
The unrealistic expectations
Wanting guys with eyes deeper than the atlantic
Wanting dramatic kissing scenes and love declarations
I like seeing the sun go down
I want to hold someone's hand
Eyes in which I could drown
Arms in which I could land
I say I don't want it
Don't want a cliché
Don't want the chocolate- butterfly- flowers-shit
It doesn't matter anyway
Don't get your hopes up
It's all just fiction
I need to wake up

A terrific poem, and although being a romantic isn't practical, I can't imagine life any other way. It's an affliction that is a blessing in disguise. Great work!
