She came back
looking for
unbroken,
the most
innocent of hearts.
The nightfall queen
of cursed longing
is stalking you
through your dreams.
She makes up tales
about sweet love
and whispers it
into your ears.
Please give
her nothing,
this is
false hope,
crawling up
into your mind,
'cuz empty heart
will give you
nothing, but
it will keep you
safe from harm.

Some lovely phrases here, as someone else mentioned. It's good to be a little bit open though - I know it's easy to be guarded once you've been hurt, but we need to be able to let people/ love in too. Well written.

The line near the end, "cuz empty heart will give you nothing, but it will keep you safe from harm." _ when past hurt stings more than loneliness.
