here I go S21. 2

here I go

you crest
chest broken in bright skies
touched by dawn and ancient stone
hands as wired umbrellas extend
to block out the light
mind bitten
by death
of another vagrant dusk
no lichen-less kisses
would plug that wound
make it cool
after overcooking
left to rot
stench running
riot in the landscape
where crows peck
waking bones
I'd forgotten
when I saw you on rubble
when you saw me
how numbed dank mires
would take to weeping
abandon resolve
those miner earthworms
knowing all our truth
biblically
as kindreds sold
in flighted inflammation
inhumane frame
crowned to continue
bereft of wings
secrets sobering
off a moor
