during awake
and sleeping
hours chasing
YOU.
Just when
our lips were
about to meet
you escaped;

bodies were
about to connect
you disappeared;
when it seemed
like I could hear

was silence again.
when I had
a stiffness from
your touch, it
was another false dream.
