Prizefighting on Parnassus
The diameters of poetry
are deeply engrained
deep in the brain -
[The main frame.]
In deep seeded memories
that alter constituencies
in the depths of the genes
comprising brain wave scenes
And all things are possible.
And possibility is beyond conception
at it’s inception,
like winds - that wind & caress
butterfly wings.
And poetry is like boxing rings,
designated to ladies, gentlemen, queens & kings,
as arrays of electricity pervade
in the precursors to the fanfare & pageantry of the parade.
The ring walk embossed electric
the best make no plans
or demands
vibrating into streams of the unexpected
As butterflies break free & pervade.
O Technicolor parade
in flashing lights made
for Parnassian promenade
in processes of godhood & godhead
And then… the bell rings
in resonating beginnings
such barbarous beautiful things
in radiant resonant settings
And then… The search for pacing.
Changing of rhythms.
Instantaneous adaptation.
Firing off combinations.
Intuitive thought forms.
And an interaction with space.

Author's Note
I am of the opinion that everything is Poetry. In fact, I believe that my mind has processed everything in my life, in such a way, that it has contributed to my poetic methods. If you can believe this, working on a concrete crew in my youth, taught me so much about writing?
Another activity that strongly influenced me was my participation in boxing, as a youth.
It takes so much courage to climb up those steps and enter that space.
I am a fight aficionado... I think that watching boxing can be like actively participating in the reading poetry.
I think that so many elements of boxing are analogous to writing.
I just love that!

You raise some very deep & interesting points. I think that we have been indoctrinated to believe that language/grammar should be strictly adhered to, when in fact it is the other way around; these things should adapt to us, facilitate our inmost rhythms and inclinations...
I think that any practice or discipline, if approached in a spiritual manner, may enhance us in manifold ways, from the spiritual to the intellectual to the physical....
I think that discipline and craft breeds discipline and craft. Such things are interchangeable, into any other discipline, if one has the eyes to see....
I think that science, in general, seems to neglect the acknowledgement of what might be called the magical, and until this is achieved, science will remain in the dark, so to speak... but...
individuals such as yourself will have a deep understanding and send this into the universe for others to interact with...
