The loss of her home
“Grandma is gone”,
Repeated like a broken record in her mind.
Tears flooded her face,
Affecting her vision like she was blind.
A song playing,
Covered the sound of her heart breaking.
The cold winter air,
Was the perfect excuse for her body shaking.
Placing a rose on a coffin.
She was sad.
Walking away,
She was mad.
People giving their condolences,
She suddenly never felt more alone.
Laying in bed,
She realized she didn’t loose a person she lost her home.
Repeated like a broken record in her mind.
Tears flooded her face,
Affecting her vision like she was blind.
A song playing,
Covered the sound of her heart breaking.
The cold winter air,
Was the perfect excuse for her body shaking.
Placing a rose on a coffin.
She was sad.
Walking away,
She was mad.
People giving their condolences,
She suddenly never felt more alone.
Laying in bed,
She realized she didn’t loose a person she lost her home.
