Bathed in moonlight
Bathed in moonlight
Not a single cloud in the sky, the moon is shinning bright, it's looking at his Goddess, he wishes he was the moon tonight
Beams of moonlight light up your curves, it puts a glisten in your eye, it brings out every part of you, has you look up at it and sigh
You sigh because your heart is aching, because you both are far apart, but you hold on to the single fact, he lives inside your heart
You wonder what's he doing, how does he spend his time, but you know what he's up to, he's writing about you in a rhyme
Trying hard to find the words, slowly they form a line, about a moon bathed Goddess, who he thinks about all the time
Stanzas building slowly, about the dream girl that he loves and how he hopes she thinks of him, wilst the moon is up above
Both looking up in the night sky, each starring intently at the moon, both hoping that when they sleep they'll find each other soon
She glances skyward one more time, she blows the moon a kiss, she hopes her poet feels it, this is her simple wish
So now she leaves her moon outside, she wonders to her bed, holding on tight to a single wish, she lays down her weary head
