Just us
I always thought
I was searching for a spark
Kissing all the boys
Holding hands in the park
But I was wrong
Being there tonight
A full moon in the dark
Being lifted off my feet
Right off the sidewalk I think
My head in the clouds
No ladder to climb back down
Touching skin to skin
My hands in yours
Then on your back
Traveling
Like your lips down my neck
But it wasn't a spark
I was seeking in the dark
It was a drowning
That collapsed
Turning everything to dust
Sinking but floating
Filling but melting
The world just turned to stardust
And there's nothing left
But you and me, just us
