A striking banner above
How I chase him fast
Outrunning weather forecast
To catch a ray of
His rainbow love
A distant illusion
I know won’t last
I ask “why bother?”
As I look for another
Rainbow love
Waiting to shove
The storm in my eyes

Dear T,
For me there is very little else as painful and frustrating as unrequited love. It always feel like I’m a walking dead person yet still drawing breath. I really like the analogy to the rainbow. So rare and never catchable. Great poem.
