Lies from the mind
Do you feel the emotions.
Can you hear his cries.
Would you save the boy,
Drowning in his lies?
Loving him, hurting him.
Suffocating in his soft vice.
Abusing him with a gentle touch.
His heart as cold as ice.
Can he ever escape his dark arts?
Does he dare to challenge him?
Will he risk his beautiful family,
Just to get his revenge on sin?

I am experiencing emotional menopause where i feel the need to put myself first and i find myself feeding the demons instead of searching for light.
You are posing serious questions i find i dont have answers to myself. I love it when a poem takes my mind further than black words on a white screen.

Thanks for the comment. I think that we both know the challenges when it comes to putting yourself in first place for a change. It’s difficult to awnser the questions, especially when family is consurned.
