Fainting episodes
The room was still but my head was spinning,
My mind and heart were racing and my heart was winning.
As the world went black it was like I didn’t exist,
I saw nothing, felt nothing and the thoughts no longer persisted.
I cant remember what happened to me after the world went dark and my mind went blank,
It was as if I were on a pirates ship and walked the plank.
Down into the depths of the ocean,
I wonder what my body looked like without a single motion.

This write has me feeling very claustrophobic. You explained this type of experience with such detailed accuracy, how scary it must have been.
“ I saw nothing, felt nothing and the thoughts no longer persisted.” I’m taking this out of context but I have to say, today…I really relish the idea of this concept. As per my friend, your poem captures, such raw reality moments that we all share and can understand. H🌷

Thank you so much H! You always remind me how truly special the gift I have with poetry is! You remind me of one of the reasons that I write. Which is to relate to, help and or inspire my readers.

Reminds me of Disassociation.
An anxiety response.
