Finding the best disguise
Just the right face, right smile

What an exhausting art
A masterpiece in the making
To bend and form to deny
The person you really are

Hiding is not just a game
It's an elegant and well rehearsed
Balarina's Swan Lake

It keeps away the sharp knives
The judging eyes, criticizing tongues
That in all it's memorizing camouflage
Brings forth all accepted lies

While within the most unseen corners of the gently misguided soul
Lies a beautiful cocoon which is
delicately wrapped and weaved around the true being, the real you

however
it's not the life force made of soft, warm and new beginnings

It's the Hangman's hard, thick rope
tightening and smothering
the Precious life
meant to be…
