Muggy

Discontented quiet, for I have no words to question
Or to answer the crow's cawing in the silence
Sitting in the dimness of a cloudy day

There are no words, just crows
And thoughts buried in the pushed aside
Just like shoveled snow
Blackbirds for the day to mock
The black thoughts I try the hide
I'm the tranquil pools cast rock
Vexed at heaven only knows
And yet the feelings ride
As grey to blackness grows

Some days seem ordained that way
As though thoughts themselves were acts of war and violence
And sleep yet hours away, seems trouble's only cession
