between the stars & moon
here lies my demise
soul is stained black from white
today goes by
even further from our forever
alone at night
the color leaves my eyes
with every tear i cry
lost thoughts find their way to the paper
look in the mirror & i see right through
seconds arrive but are gone too soon
moments of silence become years of solitude
i lost too many yesterday’s with you
so i’m searching for you
between the stars and moon
i see light bleeding through the lonely night
makes my chest feel tight at the sight
it’s just too bright and i hear familiar cries
letting them consume
lost in a crowded room
searching for you
between the stars and moon
tell me when the rain will come
and wash away the pain i’ve caused
show me where you are
tell me what you want
if we’re worlds apart
i’ll never be too far
i want to forget you but it’s just too hard to do
forgetting means giving up the memory of you
i look into the lights and say that i still love you searching for you between the stars and moon
